Damn, somehow that battle reminded me of the battles of DS9 and the other major battles in the dominion war . The connies flew like the galaxy during operation return while the romulan BOPs acted like dominion fighters...

Correction the birth of a fictional legend try to keep up you dumbasses😅
Fictional legend? Yes, of course, but may I suggest a few things? That fiction inspired many people since 1966 into deeds they never might have considered. Pilots, aerospace engineers, communications engineers, medical professionals, and others many which were influenced by that Roddenberry fiction. Even some of the fictional science has become closer to reality. Transparent aluminum, personal mobile phone’s, hospital medical devices all here maybe as a result of such inspiration. Even distant space flight might be closer. A Mexican theoretical physicist named Miguel Alcubierre published a paper in 1994 outlining the theory of Warp travel, ala Star Trek, as not only NOT a violation of Einstein theory but provided the mathematical explanation. Since then other scientists have entered the discussion refining the issues of power sources and energy needs. Unlikely to be more than theoretical for quite some time, but as Spock once said: “I like to believe that there are always possibilities". Personally I’d love to imagine my 6 year old great grandson will see April 5th, 2063 as First Contact Day. Not likely I will be 112 years old to be there if true…. at least in spirit. Rich, I’d say “Live long and prosper” but I wouldn’t want to offend you. 🖖

A nice way to introduce the Phase II Constitution Class in a parallel universe.
Enterprise was 20 years old when Kirk became her captain. She was 40 when Morrow wanted to have her scrapped in "search for Spock".
One thing that always gets me is that people forget that most ships based on the Constitution primary hull were bristling with phaser banks. Damn things were like B-17s. Yet everyone always shows just the forward underside phaser banks firing. A Constitution class could fire upon multiple ships from multiple vectors. And don’t argue any crap about lack of power. If not at warp, the full power of the mater / antimatter reactor could be channeled to the phasers.
They even said it in the movie, “they’re wondering if they are any match for the federation flagship.” They weren’t! Even with their little camera in the visor trick they should have be utterly destroyed by the Enterprise D. Hell, even the Enterprise A destroyed one of these 80 years prior!

Romulans fighting alongside Klingons in this era? Or did they just buy (steal?) the D7 ship design?
There was a dispute over using the Romulan ship model during the filming of the Enterprise Incident, so they used the Klingon D-7 and had Spock say Romulans are now using Klingon Design. The cannon explination is Klingons and Romulans made a deal, the D-7 for Cloaking tech.
When I saw her all I could hear was, "The U.S.S. Lantree is a quarantined vessel by order of Starfleet Command. Do not board."
Nice. As far as we know thought, the Roms hadn't yet gotten Stormbird D-7 imports "yet". REALLY love the Phase II/TMP refit hybrid!

To me, the Enterprise is a cast member as much as Kirk, Spock, or any of the rest of the characters. I cried more when the Enterprise was destroyed than when Spock died.

Physics issue... ships don't stop moving in outer space just because they get hit by phasers or torpedoes. Even blasted into tiny pieces, all the pieces would continue moving.

Makes more sense , love the animation . Only issue I got is the “ work bees “ are too advanced for Kirk’s enterprise time line let alone Robert April’s . Guess I would have pictured some altered version of the Galileo type shuttle or even actual Starfleet SeaBee’s welding in space . But I still think it being built in orbit makes the best sense and far more fitting for the grand Lady . Well done my friend !!!!!

I loved this. The 1979 refit was nice, but the original would have been thrilling!
Self illumination was never part of the original ship… but it should’ve been. It was the best idea to come out of the movies. It made the ship so majestic.
Except for the lights, it looks exactly like my old AMT model. Built it on 1974.
